Wedding Flowers - How To Select Wedding Flowers With Meaning
Wedding flowers mean different things to different people. Here's a quick guide to selecting wedding flowers.
You know you want vibrant colors, beautiful accents and flowers that represent who you and your groom are. However, unless you have a particular flower in mind, choosing your wedding flowers can be a difficult challenge.
Some brides choose their wedding flowers by what they symbolize and also by what is in season when your wedding is taking place. Choose your wedding flowers carefully and take your time.
Think about where you met, were there flowers that you think about and hold in your memory? Walk through public gardens; visualize the flowers you see in your wedding. Which ones stand out?
Talk to friends who garden and ask their opinions as to what flowers would look great in your wedding. Or if you have decided on wedding colors, choose flowers that would accent and make these colors prominent.
When choosing wedding flowers for bouquets and arrangements, check out Calla Lilys, which are large yellow or white tropical flowers. These are in bloom during the spring and summer months and mean magnificent beauty. Delphinium flowers are also in bloom during the summer months and come in shades of white and blues and are a popular wedding flower. Delphinium means swiftness and lightness.

The Wedding Vows
Wedding Planner - All About Weddings!
The Most Solemn Part of Your Wedding: The Wedding Vows
There is no doubt that planning a wedding vows ceremony can be one of the most daunting tasks a person can undergo.
Since the majority of the work in taking wedding vows ceremonially traditionally falls upon the bride and her family (let's face it, the guys, largely, just don't care if the flowers are yellow and pink, canary and magenta, or goldenrod and cherry) it is always a good idea to have the assistance of a professional wedding planner or at least a trusted friend or relative to help keep all of the details in order.
That assistant can take care of everything from ordering the cake to making sure the reception seating arrangement is in order and Uncle Herbert is as far from the bar as possible while Aunt Helen and Aunt Gertrude won't come in contact with one another at all.

Wedding Dresses - How To Plan a Western Themed Wedding
Wedding Planner - All About Weddings!: Wedding Dresses - How To Plan a Western Themed Wedding
Whoever said that planning a wedding - full with wedding gowns, wedding rings, wedding vows and wedding dresses - had to be serious and stressful? With a western themed wedding, you can experience a whole new idea together while making it as unique as you want it to be.
For a western themed wedding, location is everything. More than wedding dresses, wedding gowns and wedding rings!
Think about having your wedding in an 'old west town', which are located throughout the Midwest and usually offer wedding packages at a cost. You can also find an open prairie and use tents and backdrops that you have designed yourselves. Or just decorate an old country church and reception hall. The important thing is to find your own style and preferences and then incorporate them into your wedding.

Wedding Dresses - How To Plan a Western Themed Wedding
Whoever said that planning a wedding - full with wedding gowns, wedding rings, wedding vows and wedding dresses - had to be serious and stressful? With a western themed wedding, you can experience a whole new idea together while making it as unique as you want it to be.
For a western themed wedding, location is everything. More than wedding dresses, wedding gowns and wedding rings!
Think about having your wedding in an "old west town", which are located throughout the Midwest and usually offer wedding packages at a cost. You can also find an open prairie and use tents and backdrops that you have designed yourselves. Or just decorate an old country church and reception hall. The important thing is to find your own style and preferences and then incorporate them into your wedding.
Decoration will be your visual focal point for this type of ceremony. To create the ambiance of a western themed wedding, use gold bows, which can be found at Christmas time. You can also use hay bales for guest seating, drive away in a horse drawn carriage and use country music or western movie themed music at your ceremony.
Once you have the ceremony details worked out and you know for sure this is what you both want, began thinking about your attire for your western themed wedding dresses and wedding gowns. Watch old western movies to see what brides wore, such as heavy fabrics, long sleeves and a lot of lace.
For the groom's wedding dress you could go simple with blue jeans, a brown vest and a brown jacket, of course worn with a hat, boots and spurs. For the bridesmaids, western themed weddings are known for keyhole, dark dresses usually worn with lace up boots. Instead of having them hold a big bouquet of attendant flowers, hand-make headbands adorned with flowers and ribbon.
To decorate your guests’ tables, use your imagination to create the western theme. Buy cowboy hats and line the insides with fresh flowers and baby’s breath, or buy old cowboy boots at a thrift store and let sunflowers dangle from the tops. Adorn small items on tables with things like sheriff’s badges or replicas of old medicine bottles.
Incorporate your western theme even on the dance floor by using kerosene lamps or lanterns hanging from posts instead of the usual string lighting. You can also hunt through antique shops and flea markets to find old wagon wheels and wooden trellises, which can be lined with wildflowers and rope.

How To Plan a Beach Wedding
Your wedding vows celebration is special - complete with wedding dresses, wedding rings and wedding gowns. A beach wedding is pretty unique!
A sandy beach, the sound of waves, the smell of fresh air and a gentle breeze blowing through your hair. Although romantic and memorable, there are details to pay attention to if you are planning a beach wedding.
Before choosing a specific location for your beach wedding, check weather climates for the date you want to get married on. It would be more than a memorable wedding if you reserved your wedding date for hurricane season!
When you decide on your beach wedding location, check whether it is a public or private beach. There may be limitations for either when holding weddings and receptions on the premises. Be sure to ask a county or city clerk if there are any permits needed for your wedding and apply for them several months ahead of time.
Think ahead when planning a beach wedding. For instance, sitting chairs directly on the sand is not a good idea, because they will eventually start to sink. Instead, consider renting special flooring to place the chairs on. Also consider renting canopies to shelter any wind hazards that may come up suddenly, providing umbrellas to shade your guests, if having a day wedding, and offer bottled water if the temperatures are hot.
Be sure to let guests know what to wear to your beach wedding. Depending on the weather, you may consider having them dress casually to keep them comfortable in the midst of the hot sun and suggest them bringing jackets in case a chill is in the air at night.
Parking is another consideration to take in when planning a beach wedding. Some beaches place their parking a large distance from the beach itself. If you are having elderly couples, young children or individuals who have limited mobility, you may want to rent golf carts and have “ushers” drive the guests down to the beach. Portable restrooms are another good idea for your guests if there is not a close restroom location near your wedding site.

One thing that will be entirely up to the happy couple, however, is the decision on the wedding vows. This is one aspect of the event that the groom will have to participate in as well.
The traditional wedding vows are immortal and familiar to us all. We've all heard the phrase "to love, honor, and cherish," a million times before and, regardless of race, religion, or nationality, we all immediately associate these words with the marriage ceremony. There is nothing wrong with that. The traditional wedding vows are powerful words of love and commitment and, if you like those wedding vows and they hold a special place in your heart, then you should feel free to include them in your wedding ceremony.
Many couples write their own wedding vows. The practice is now so common that original wedding vows have almost replaced the traditional vows as the norm for weddings, but that does not mean that the time-honored vows are any less meaningful.
For those that do wish to write their own wedding vows, the options are limitless. Some couples pen their wedding vows completely from their hearts and minds, using this portion of the wedding ceremony as an opportunity to express their love and devotion to one another in a very personal way.
Others borrow literary quotes, song lyrics, poetry, or other non-original material that expresses their feelings for their beloved, to incorporate into their wedding vows. Anything that says how you feel is acceptable.

How To Make a Wedding Speech
Scared witless about making a wedding speech? You're not alone. And these tips may help!
Sooner or later, at some point in your life, you may be called upon to speak at someone's wedding. Perhaps you'll be the proud father of the bride or someone's best man. Whatever the case may be, it can be a good idea to know how to make the appropriate wedding speech.
Some people may think these points are obvious, but they're not the ones that are giving the speech. If you're not much for public speaking, you may find these tips helpful if you ever have to speak at someone's wedding.
Your Wedding Speech - Keep it Short
The worst part of any wedding celebration is when some long winded buffoon drones on and on during his opportunity to make a wedding speech. No one wants to listen to your ramblings for forty minutes, no matter how interesting you may think they are.
People are at the wedding to share in the couple's joy and have a good time. No one will be able to do either if you talk for too great a length of time. Try to keep your speech under five minutes long if possible.
Your Wedding Speech - Save the jokes for Henny Youngman
Public speakers often like to try and break the ice with a joke, have you ever noticed that? Have you also noticed that the jokes are usually bad?
These people have professional speech writers working for them. You do not. Unless you are truly a funny person (your name is Robin Williams, for example), steer clear of the jokes. If you do have to make jokes during your wedding speech, try to make them appropriate for the occasion.
Jokes about weddings in general or the people in attendance will always work better than jokes of the “a guy walks into a bar” variety. Also remember that jokes at the groom's expense are funny while those at the bride's expense are not. That's just the way it is.
Your Wedding Speech - Sentimentality Works
People get all warm, fuzzy, and gushy at weddings. Sharing sentimental stories about the couple and how in love they are, about your own wedding, or any other appropriately smarmy topic will have them eating out of your hand.
Make the focus of your wedding speech the subject of love and roses and good feelings and puppies and you can't go wrong.

How To Make Your Wedding Special
How to make your wedding vows day truly unique - and remarkable?
There are so many options available today to help make weddings special - and that doesn't involve wedding rings or wedding gowns! - that the happy couple planning their marriage ceremony may have to make some difficult choices as far as just what features to include.
One semi-traditional aspect of the wedding ceremony that can help lend a spark of romance to the event is the literary wedding reading. Recitation of romantic poetry, heartfelt prose, or Shakespearean verse during the wedding ceremony can add a refined touch to an already beautiful occasion.
Selections of wedding readings can run the gamut of available literature; from writings as old as Biblical passages to the more modern works of authors and poets like Amy Tan and Maya Angelou.
Any piece that relates a theme of love, devotion, or commitment can be appropriate as a wedding reading - relating to your wedding rings and wedding gowns too. The choice, really, is up to the couple as far as what they’d like to have as a wedding reading. Following are some traditional, modern, and more unusual wedding readings.
Your Wedding Vows - Love Poems/Prose
Poetry and prose about love and devotion make for wonderful wedding readings and it is selections from this category that you will hear most often. Favorites here include Shakespearean sonnets, the famous How Do I Love Thee by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and selections from The Prophet by Kahil Gibran, but can, again, include virtually anything that the couple would like to include.
Thoughtful, insightful, and moving passages are the key to having your wedding reading stand out in the minds of your guests - so they remember more than wedding rings and wedding gowns.
Your Wedding Vows - Inspirational Readings
A favorite of religious wedding services, inspirational wedding readings are also quite common. The Bible is a fantastic source for these types of readings and certain passages have become standard fare in many church wedding services.
Most familiar here is the instantly recognized "Love is patient and kind..." reading from I Corinthians and the "husbands love your wives" passage from the fifth chapter of Ephesians. Inspirational poetry can be used here as well as quotations from inspirational speakers. Anything that is spiritually uplifting and appropriate for the occasion will work here - in concert with everything else, including wedding rings and wedding gowns.
Your Wedding Vows - Out of the Ordinary Wedding Readings
Some wedding readings can be very creative, while others are just plain odd. I attended a wedding between two aspiring actors. Both the bride and the groom as well as several members of the wedding party were active in community theater.

Your Wedding Vows - Japanese Style
How do you want to take your wedding vows? Japanese weddings, although very expensive are very elegant and serene. If you are choosing a Japanese theme for your wedding, think about ways to achieve the authentic look at a fraction of the price.
For a Japanese wedding theme begin with the bride's attire. Traditionally, a bride in Japan wears a white silk kimono, which can cost up to twenty five thousand dollars to purchase. With a good seamstress, a kimono can be made from white silk.
A groom wears a haori for taking wedding vows on the top and a hakama on the bottom, all in black. The bride will usually change into different kimonos up to five times during the wedding day. Although not required, some Japanese brides wear wigs as part of the tradition of the kimono wedding dress.
The wig is heavily decorated in artificial flowers, gold combs and pearls. The wedding party will also dress in kimono's, usually in a color chosen by the bride.
At the wedding vows ceremony of a Japanese themed wedding, the bride and groom traditionally enter the ceremony from different sides of the room while drum and flute music are being played.
A sacred tree, made from paper streamers is then waved over the couple in belief that it will keep evil spirits away and unite purification. After vows are said, the couple then drinks wine, or sake, and exchanges their glasses nine times to symbolize their bonding.
Some accessories for the weeding vows ceremony to look for when uniting in a Japanese themed wedding include white fans for the bride and bridesmaids to hold during the ceremony, bonsai trees to display as centerpieces on the reception tables, a decorated parasol for the flower girl to carry, and bowls of bamboo to set around the reception to give a more authentic look of Japanese culture.

Your Wedding Gowns, Wedding Rings & Inexpensive Centerpiece Decorations
When planning a wedding, along with your wedding rings and wedding gowns, most brides focus first on the church, lining it with flowers and ribbons. By the time costs for the wedding are taken care of many couple’s find that they are skimming close to their budget. It’s good know that the centerpiece decorations at your reception can not only be inexpensive, but tasteful and original.
Try this idea for wedding rings and wedding gowns and score a perfect ten for creativity when planning your centerpiece decorations.
Start by buying cute small frames as you see them on sale. Insert photos of you and your groom growing up through the years. Guests will not only love the originality of the idea but they will also get to see what you both looked like when you were younger. Of course, if they have known you your entire life, then this will give them a chance to reminisce about you - as they see you in wedding rings and wedding gowns.
If you are planning on a fall wedding use baskets and terra cotta pots to add a fall touch to your centerpiece decorations. Fill the baskets and pots with tiny pumpkins, apples, corn stalk and gourds. This will add that little extra touch to the season while filling your table with inexpensive decorations.
For a more romantic look, use inexpensive single fish bowls. Fill these centerpiece decorations with water, which can be colored with liquid dye, and add a floating candle. You may also find inexpensive artificial flowers that can be snipped at the tops and laid around the candles. This will create the mood of romance and add candlelight to each of your tables, rounding off the effect of your wedding rings and wedding gowns.
For a Christmas time wedding, use poinsettias and gold ribbons for centerpiece decorations. If you have extra money to spend, buy miniature Christmas trees and decorate them with lights and wedding charms for ornaments, which can be found at most bridal decoration stores. Place the trees in the middle of the table and let the guests try and guess what meaning each of the charms hold!
Let your guests get involved in your first day as man and wife - wedding rings and wedding gowns and all - by using paper and pens as a centerpiece decoration. Buy decorated paper and pens, placing them at each sitting. Leave instructions for the guests to give you the best marital advice they can. You may also have the guest make up a love poem to give you. This will get them involved and also give you a keepsake to read on your honeymoon. You may also add a long-stemmed rose at each place setting that they can take home with them.

How to be a Good Wedding DJ
If you love music and have a decent collection, a good way to make extra money may be to become a wedding DJ for live events. To get up and rolling may take a small investment as a DJ must have top of the line stereo equipment and a music collection that reflects a wide variety of musical tastes, but the financial rewards can be well worth the initial expenditure.
Wedding DJs are hired for any of a variety of events from school dances to weddings and Bar-Mitzvahs, and the manner in which you conduct yourself may need to vary depending on the event that you’re working. Weddings are a particularly valuable market for a disc jockey and the wedding DJ often has one of the most fun jobs of anyone associated with a decent sized wedding reception. Following are some tips that can help you find success as a wedding DJ.
Wedding DJs - Let’s Get it Started in Here
A wedding reception is essentially a big party. Like any party, the reception will evolve slowly over the course of the evening and it is the responsibility of the wedding DJ to ensure that it moves along at the proper pace. When the reception first begins the wedding DJ will notice that people are milling around and talking, eating, and congratulating the happy couple.
This is a good time to start playing wedding music, making a selection that is both in line with the requested genres or tastes that should have been previously discussed with the couple or the person that hired the wedding DJ. Something upbeat but not overpowering is good here.
When it is time for the dancing to start, it’s time for the party to start. Sometimes people are a bit shy to get going. It is at this point that the wedding DJ needs to show some personality. Get on that microphone and motivate people to get on the dance floor and move. Make some congratulatory statements to the newlyweds and tell the guests to get out there and shake it.
Wedding DJs - Once You’ve Sold it, Don’t Buy it Back
Now that you’ve got the music going and the dance floor is full, shut your pie hole! No one comes to a wedding reception to hear the wedding DJ blather on into the microphone like a wannabe Howard Stern. If it’s fallen on you to announce mini reception events like a dollar dance or the removal of the garter, then do so, but speak as little as possible. Let the music move the party and keep that microphone securely in the upright and locked position.
Wedding DJs - Hey, Mr. DJ… Put a Record on
Requests equal tips for the wedding DJ. If a guest approaches you with a song request that falls into the category of music that you’ve been hired to spin, get it on there post haste. People get all warm and fuzzy inside when they hear a song that they specifically requested.

Wedding Rings - Handcrafted Wedding Rings For Class
Handcrafted wedding rings spell 'class' and 'uniqueness'.
Couples searching for wedding rings have many more options today than have been available in the past. Wedding rings in multiple styles and designs are now available and the choices become more diverse practically every day.
One option that has been available for a long time but has been traditionally out of reach to many couples due to prohibitive costs is that of custom-ordering handcrafted wedding rings.
Custom-ordered handcrafted wedding rings used to be available only from major jewelers at rather exorbitant prices, making this an option for celebrities or the extremely well-to-do. This is no longer the case.
Major changes in the jewelry industry and the prevalence of the Internet in all aspects of commerce have allied to bring the prices of handcrafted wedding rings steadily down. Handcrafted wedding rings that once cost thousands can now be had for a fraction of their former amount. A custom-ordered handcrafted ring will still cost more than a traditional ring of similar quality, of course, but the price difference is nowhere near what it once was.
Handcrafted wedding rings can be purchased without making a special order these days as well. There are many small companies that specialize in such rings all over the world and they have the advent of the Internet to thank for their inclusion in a far wider market than they ever had before.
In many cases these beautiful handcrafted wedding rings can be acquired for much less than the rings available at major jewelry outfits. For example, a beautiful handcrafted wedding ring I found online was designed with a unique challah braid design and cost about $375.00.
Looking at a site that offered more traditional rings, I found a plain gold band of the same dimensions and same karat weight for $425.00. Faced with paying more money for a less interesting ring or less money for a unique handcrafted wedding ring, I think I know which option I would choose.

Your Wedding Plans - Tips On Wedding Announcements
Your wedding is over. Now it's time to announce it. Here are a few tips that will help.
Getting married is one of the most exciting things that a person can do. While the process of planning and executing a wedding ceremony takes a lot of time and attention to detail, once it's all over it is obvious that all of the stress involved was well worth it. Once the wedding is done, however, there are still a few details that should be looked after. Wedding announcements fall into this category.
Wedding announcements are intended to let people know that you are now married. The responsibility for creating them typically falls upon the bride or her family and there are a number of ways of completing wedding announcements.
Newspaper wedding announcements are quite common. If you choose to announce your wedding in the local newspaper, you'll want to contact the offices of the publication for information on how to do this. Check the paper's wedding page as well since many newspapers print their guidelines for wedding announcements right there.
Different publications will have different ways of going about this, so it's important to look into each one if you plan to submit wedding announcements to more than one newspaper. Some papers charge a nominal fee to publish wedding announcements and some will do it for free. Some will also print photographs with the announcement if you so desire. Again, check with the individual publication to see what they will and won't do.
The information to include in a newspaper wedding announcement will depend on how much you want to print and how much the paper is willing to print. Some papers will ask that the bride fill out a simple form, others will ask that the information simply be submitted.
Some of the information that you will want to consider including is... (contd)

Fancy Wedding Vows No Longer Only For The Rich!
For a long time the fancy wedding vows ceremonies like destination weddings, a wedding combined with a vacation for the couple, wedding party, and guests, was an exotic treat attainable only by the extremely wealthy.
This is no longer the case as destination weddings have, in recent years, become an attainable and attractive alternative for more and more couples seeking to put an enjoyable romantic spin on their nuptial occasion with wedding vows.
Destination wedding planners like to advertise that the destination wedding can cost thousands less than a traditional wedding vows functions. While this may or may not be true, depending on what a particular couple plans to spend on their traditional wedding as opposed to what they’ll have to spend for a destination wedding, it is certainly a fact that a destination wedding is no longer completely out of the question for the average couple.
If you're interested in celebrating your own marriage ceremony with a destination wedding, here are some helpful pointers that can have you enjoying your wedding in a vacation locale without completely emptying the coffers.
Wedding Vows - Your Destination Doesn't Have to be Distant
One of the truly beautiful things is that we have vacation spots nearly everywhere. By planning your destination wedding in a place that is relatively close to home, you can save considerably on airfare or other travel arrangements.
Do you live on the East Coast of the US? Make Orlando, Florida your destination and enjoy your honeymoon with Mickey Mouse. Already in Florida and been to Disneyworld far too many times? Set your sights on the Big Apple and enjoy a destination wedding in the City that Never Sleeps.
Maybe you're in the Midwest? If so a destination wedding in Chicago may have just the right romantic touch for you. You could also consider heading south to Texas to visit the Alamo. Live in the Southwest or Northwest? Then Las Vegas and Los Angeles are mere hours away by plane.
The point is that your destination wedding doesn't have to be held in London, Paris, or Munich to be an event you will remember fondly and cherish forever.
Wedding Vows - Plan Ahead and Get Group Rates
Everyone knows that air passage costs less when booked and purchased well in advance. Be sure to make the reservations for your destination wedding far ahead of time to get the best value for you and your guests.

Wedding Dresses - Converting Your Wedding Videos to DVD
Wedding dresses look lovely on the day. Keep those memories evergreen by recording videos of your wedding dresses on DVD.
Technology marches ever onward and, as it does, it carries us right along with it. Wedding dresses looked lovely on video. In the early 1980’s, as VCR’s dropped in price and appeared in more and more homes, there was a sudden mass appeal for people to have their old Super 8 home movies converted to video cassette.
Video tapes last far longer than film and it just made sense to convert those old reels into a more watchable and compact format. People brought their movies of their baby’s first steps, birthday parties, and wedding dresses and turned them into video tapes.
Not long after that, video cameras became cost effective for people to buy and those old super 8 cameras and projectors went the way of the dodo. People began using video tape for everything and the wedding dresses video was born.
Technology has shifted yet again, folks. You may have noticed less and less video tapes at your local Blockbuster store. The medium is becoming extinct, replaced by DVD. Guess what? It’s time to convert your wedding dresses videos yet again.
DVD discs last far longer than video tape, offer higher quality picture of your wedding dresses and sound, and can run longer than video cassettes. By converting your wedding videos to DVD you can ensure that the memories you saved will last even longer.
The process of converting your wedding dresses video to DVD is not complicated, but to do it yourself you will need some special equipment. Obviously you’ll need a DVD recording device and a way for your VCR to connect to it. If you have a DVD burner on your computer, you’re halfway there.

Your Wedding Vows - Come to Vegas for an Elvis Wedding!
Wedding vows are heard very often in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is known for a great many things, not the least of which are Elvis Presley and wedding vows.
Elvis is literally everywhere in Vegas. There’s a museum full of Elvis memorabilia and most of the hotels have some kind of Elvis presence. Wedding vows are as much a part of Vegas as Elvis is.
About 100,000 wedding vows ceremonies are performed each year in Las Vegas and there are wedding chapels all over town. With so many wedding vows being taken and so much Elvis it seems only natural that the denizens of Las Vegas came up with a way to merge the two into a bizarre yet popular hybrid known as the Elvis Wedding.
Elvis Weddings have been available at a number of Vegas chapels for quite some time. The wedding vows concept that seems like a bad sitcom joke is actually quite popular in Vegas and couples show up every day to be married by Elvis, serenaded by Elvis, picked up in a limousine driven by Elvis, or accompanied on a tandem bicycle by Elvis.
One chapel offers the option of having Elvis give away the Bride. The Elvis wedding vows is nothing short of a unique experience. And that experience is offered at just under a dozen chapels on and off the Strip. Some of the chapels themselves seem designed around the Elvis Wedding. If you’re getting married at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel or the Graceland Wedding Chapel, you pretty much have to expect an appearance by The King. The Viva Las Vegas chapel offers a "Blue Hawaii" Elvis Wedding that includes a Priscilla impersonator.
It may go without saying that the Aladdin Wedding Chapel is proudest of their Elvis Weddings and they are quick to point out that they were host to the original Elvis Wedding – the eight minute wedding of Elvis and Priscilla Presley took place in one of their rooms (at the original Aladdin) in 1967. The Elvis Weddings at the Aladdin Wedding Chapel may be the most low key of the bunch. Here you can be married by Elvis and have the option of having him serenade you.
Other locations that offer Elvis Weddings in Vegas include the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel, A Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, Cupid's Wedding Chapel, A Hollywood Wedding Chapel, and the Shalimar Wedding Chapel. Each chapel has different features included in their Elvis wedding vows and your choice of a site may be determined by just how much or how little Elvis you’d actually like in your Elvis wedding.

How To Choose Your Wedding Dress
Selecting your special wedding dress for your special day is an important event. This guide might help!
He's proposed and it is time to make a decision on the most important detail of every little girl's dream: the wedding dress. Should it be sleeveless, short, long, lacey, sequined or plain? So many questions to ask yourself, although you are sure of one thing, it needs to be perfect.
As soon as the planning begins for the big day when you take wedding vows, choosing your wedding dress becomes somewhat of an urgency for most brides, who do not want to wait until the last minute. While dealing with wedding stress and preparations, be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to try on different styles and find the one who says “you”.
The theme of your wedding vows ceremony will be an important point when selecting that special dress.
Are you getting married on the beach? If so, you might choose a light airy style.
Have you decided on a formal affair? Then by all means, go all out and wear a white dress covered in silk and lace.
Whatever type of occasion your wedding will be, your dress will play one of the most important roles in it!
It's also important to think about the month and season you are getting married in to plan the ideal wedding dresses. If you are having a middle of summer wedding, then you probably shouldn't wear a wedding dress with double layers or long sleeves. After all, this is supposed to be the most memorable day of your beginning together. You don't want the biggest memory to be how much you perspired throughout the ceremony!
When choosing a wedding dress, try on comfortable styles. Walk around in them, if kneeling is part of your ceremony, then kneel in the dress and be sure you are not going to be uncomfortable in your choice. The beauty of the wedding dress is only half of your decision—the other half is looking beautiful, happy and elegant. You cannot look happy if you are holding your breath so seams do not pop or you're itchy from the lace on your arms.
One mistake that a lot of brides tend to make when choosing a wedding dress is with the size. If you are planning on losing weight before your big day, do not buy a dress the size you think you may be come the wedding day. Instead buy the size you are on the day you choose the dress. It will always be easier to take a dress in if it is too big, than to add material for a dress that ended up being too small.

Choosing Your Wedding Dress & Colors
Wedding dress, wedding flowers, church, reception, cake topper, decorations, wedding music AND wedding colors. Although it sounds daunting, choosing wedding colors and wedding dresses is really quite simple.
When choosing your wedding colors think about the different colors that you like most. You may want to choose a main color and one or two accent colors for visual beauty.
If you really don't have a favorite color, think about the season that you're getting married in. If you're planning a spring or summer wedding go with pastels and brighter colors for your wedding dresses. For winter ceremonies try darker purples and burgundies. You can also use red and silver for a more Christmas themed wedding. For a fall wedding, oranges, yellows and even reds can give a warm harvest feel.
One thing to remember when choosing your wedding colors is not to overdue black. Although it is perfectly acceptable and popular to incorporate black into the wedding, over using it can give the feel of a funeral rather than a union of two hearts.
Once you have chosen a main wedding color, you can always use a color wheel, which artists use to accent colors in paintings. Using a wheel will help you choose another color or two that will compliment your main scheme with your wedding dresses.
Another way to simplify choosing wedding colors is to visit a wedding boutique store with your bridesmaids. Choose a wedding dress that looks good and everyone is comfortable in. Then ask the clerk what colors the wedding dress comes in. By doing this, you will be narrowing down the colors to choose from. Once you decide on a color for their wedding dresses, use this as a main color for your wedding.
No matter what you choose for your wedding colors, this is a detail that will stick out the most with your guests. It will be the center and focal point of wedding flowers, wedding dresses and decorations. So, be sure when you choose a color, you choose carefully and be sure it is something that compliments your wedding party and the atmosphere that you want to set for your wedding.

How To Choose Your Wedding Flower Girl's Dress
If you have decided on a flower girl for your wedding, it is time to choose her dress, which can actually be a fun time for her and you. After all, next to the bride, at the wedding flower girl will be getting a lot of the ‘ooh's' and ‘ahh's'.
When choosing your wedding flower girl's dress, begin by checking out boutiques that specialize in children's wedding wear. A regular wedding shop may be able to help, however usually these shops will only adjust adult measurements to fit a small child, which could cause the dress to look disproportionate to the child's body frame.
Although the bride may already have a design in mind for choosing the flower girl's dress, remember that the parents will be paying for it, unless otherwise arranged. Let the flower girl's mom and the flower girl, herself give opinions to the dress you are looking at and be sure it is in a price range they can afford.
Remember to keep in mind that little girls grow fast, when choosing your wedding flower girl's dress. If you are ordering the dress six months in advance, you may want to add a few inches to the dress, which can then be altered the week before the wedding. Just like with any wedding dress, it will be easier to take it in than adding material to a dress that is too small.
Little girls like to feel like princesses in their dresses. So consider a smaller make to your wedding gown when choosing a flower girl's dress. Traditional flower girl dresses are usually white with full, ruffle skirts underneath to give them the ‘bridal' look.
Wedding flower accented dresses are also popular among flower girls. Use hoop slips to give them that princess look. Keep in mind the material you are selecting. A soft, silky feel will leave your flower girl less fidgety versus and rougher material that will make them itch and feeling uncomfortable.
When choosing your flower girl's dress, do not forget to find matching accents for her hair. Decide if you want her hair up or down. With either, adding baby's breath and ribbons will give her a beautiful look of enchantment. Also let her parent's know what type of shoe you would like her to wear with her dress.

Other common flower choices to look at when choosing your wedding flowers are Lilies of the Valley, which are traditional wedding flowers. They are small, white, and bell-shaped and are commonly used with other flowers in arrangements. Their meaning is happiness. A simple, and yet perfect meaning to any wedding.
For all year round flowers, try choosing wedding flowers that have a strong meaning, with a subtle look. Chrysanthemums have several different varieties to choose from, such as spider, miniature buttons and pom-poms. They come in different colors and mean wealth, abundance and truth.
And there's more...

Your Wedding Vows - Choosing the Right Wedding Package
You're engaged? Congratulations! Now comes the hard part, actually planning the wedding.
With so many things to consider, the details and costs involved with planning wedding vows can be quite intimidating. Fortunately there is help out there for those who want it.
There are many companies across the country and probably several in your own city that specialize in putting together wedding packages. With the right wedding vows package you can often find most, if not all, of your wedding needs met all at once.
The perfect wedding package will save you time and money, relieving the stress involved in planning what is supposed to be the happiest day of your life.
Wedding vows packages are as diverse as the people who purchase them. With so many options available. How do you choose the right one?
The best way to go about it is to have a plan before you even start looking at wedding packages.
First of all, you need to know how many people you will invite to your wedding. Since wedding package prices are largely designed around the number of people in attendance this is information you must have before shopping around.
Next, of those invited, how many will be invited to the reception? While it is traditional to invite everyone to both the ceremony and the reception, it is no longer a requirement. Partially due to the advent of wedding packages, it is now quite common to invite a large number of people to the ceremony and just a percentage of those to the reception.
The reasoning behind this is cost related in most cases. If you can afford it and would rather stick with tradition you can certainly still invite everyone to the reception.
You'll also want to be sure of the number of people in your wedding vows party before you start looking at different wedding packages. The reason for this is the same as above. Wedding packages can often include tuxedo and dress rental for the entire party, so you'll certainly want to know exactly how many tuxedos and dresses are included in the wedding package you select.
Next, you'll want to look at practical issues like geographical locations. If you're getting married in your church and need only to select a reception hall, you probably want to make sure that the one you choose is not too far from the church.
Driving a long distance to and from the reception after the wedding vows ceremony is no fun for anyone involved. Choose a wedding package that includes a choice of locations or a location near where you want to have the ceremony. If you don't have a place for the ceremony already you may find a wedding package that includes a chapel and reception hall together.
Now you're ready to start searching out your perfect wedding package. Your local telephone directory is a good place to start and the Internet is a wealth of information on this subject as well. With a little time and planning you can find a wonderful wedding package that will save you time, planning, and money later on.

How To Choose Your Wedding Graphics
Images have become an integral part of any wedding vows ceremony.
Our modern technological age has changed the ways in which we do numerous things in our lives, including taking our wedding vows. One thing that has changed drastically in the new millennium is how we present and preserve our weddings and the photographs, videos, and other memories from those events.
Even just five years ago it was almost completely unheard of for people to create interactive and graphical web sites announcing their wedding vows, stating where they're registered, and then uploading the photographs and videos to the site after the event so Great Aunt Agnes can see the wedding pictures without having to leave her trailer in Duluth.
Today it is so common that everyone's doing it and the practice is being popularized even further by celebrities like Star Jones taking wedding vows in the public eye. Additionally people are now using their computers to cut wedding costs by designing their own invitations and thank-you notes and printing them at home. It's fun, cost effective, and allows a person to really let their creativity shine.
It's easy to jump on the do-it-yourself wedding vows bandwagon if you have a PC and a connection to the Internet. To do so one of the things you'll definitely need to get a hold of are some impressive wedding graphics.

Your Special Wedding Invitation
It's your special day - and inviting people to your wedding is important.
Choosing wedding invitations has become just as important as choosing your bridal gown and wedding dresses, because it is your official announcement that will beautifully display your names together and the date of your upcoming union. An invitation could be cherished forever in a frame or scrapbook and will be seen for generations to come.
The most important detail to pay attention to when choosing a wedding invitation is the company who will be making them.
Is it a respectable company?
Are they capable of doing good work and paying attention to even the smallest details?
Do they have a good reputation of getting the invitations sent out at a reasonable time and are their fees acceptable?
Once you have found a good stationary company to order your invitations through, they will be able to help you decide the wording to use and the etiquette to use in unusual situations.
Choosing a wedding invitation will be based on the tone you want set for your wedding. It should match the style and theme, whether it is casual and light or a more formal ceremony. You may also think about applying wedding colors to the ink of invitations. This will give guests the hint of your wedding colors when they want to buy you gifts that reflect your special day.
For unique styles when choosing your wedding invitation, think about having your stationary company put a black and white photo of you and your soon to be groom on the invitation. There are also many different types of clip art you can add. For a more formal wedding, add ribbons and bows to the invitation, which can be tied on by you after printing is done.
When choosing your wedding invitations, think about what information you will want to include. Be sure there will be ample room for what you want to say. A typical invitation includes the bride and grooms names, parent’s names, date and time of wedding and the name and address of the church.

Wedding Rings - How To Choose a Unique Wedding Band
Your choice of wedding rings is an important - and special one.
Styles and choices in wedding bands and wedding rings have changed drastically over the past few years. Because everyone seems to be looking for something that is unique and different, jewelers are offering more choices than ever before. This leads to a small dilemma, however.
With so many different styles of wedding rings now being offered, how do you know whether the band you choose is truly unique?
People don't want something that is just a non-traditional style anymore. People want something that no one else has anywhere. This can be a tall order to fill. Still, even if you can't manage something completely unique, at least you can find a wedding band that is different enough it will get attention and possibly turn a few heads.
Custom Ordering Wedding Rings
This is perhaps the best way to find a truly unique wedding band. It is also one of the most expensive. Although the Internet makes custom ordering of wedding rings much more accessible than it ever was before, you can still expect to pay more for your custom ordered band than you would for any other type of wedding ring. If you are completely set on having a truly unique wedding band, however, this is the way to go.
Wedding Rings - Tension Set bands
A very interesting style of wedding band that has started becoming popular is the tension set wedding band. These rings are not a traditional solid circle but instead have a split in the design.
In this split a stone is set so that it is held in place by the tension of the opposing ends of the wedding ring. There are positive and negative aspects to choosing a wedding ring with a tension setting, but it is a design that gets noticed.
Tension set wedding bands can be custom ordered as well, so the opportunity is still there for something truly unique.
Celtic Wedding Bands and Wedding Rings
Wedding bands with attractive Celtic design patterns have been rising in popularity, but are still far from the norm. With so many different Celtic braid and weave designs available, it is easy to have a wedding ring that at least appears to be unique.
There are a lot of companies that can do Celtic wedding rings designs according to custom specifications as well and, because these companies specialize in this type of work, a custom ordered Celtic wedding band is often less costly than other types of custom bands. When looking for a unique wedding band, a Celtic design may be the way to go.
And there's more about wedding rings...

Wedding Reception Music - What Are Your Options?
There are so many choices for your wedding reception music arrangements, it's mind boggling.
An important decision you'll make during the course of taking your perfect wedding vows is that of wedding reception music. After all, what's a wedding vows reception without music?
Do you hire a band, hire a DJ, or just throw on some tunes for everyone to dance to? The choice is all up to you from what type of music you want at your reception to how it's delivered.
One possibility that a number of people opt for is to hire a band to provide their wedding reception music. A lot of working "cover bands" (musicians that specialize in performing spot-on renditions of popular songs) are available to work wedding receptions.
The cost for hiring a band varies according to the experience and popularity of the band itself. A band that is highly skilled tends to be highly sought after and therefore more expensive to hire. A live band brings a certain level of excitement to the party atmosphere of a wedding reception and your guests are sure to enjoy the interactivity that comes along with live wedding reception music.
Some couples forgo the band in favor of hiring a DJ for their wedding vows. The advantages of hiring a DJ as compared to a band are threefold.
First of all, a DJ tends to cost much less to hire than an entire band does. In addition to the monetary savings, the DJ will have access to original recordings of popular songs. Your guests can shimmy to Baby Got Back or The Locomotion by the original artists rather than a rendition performed by an unknown singer.
Additionally, the DJ will have access to a far greater number of recordings than any band is likely to have in its repertoire. For these reasons many couples taking their wedding vows enjoy hiring a DJ to supply their wedding reception music.
Another option is...

Your Wedding Vows - Choices in Wedding Music
American weddings and taking wedding vows have come a long way over the years. In a society that is made up of people from so many different cultures, lifestyles, religions, and backgrounds, it is no surprise that the traditions in the wedding ceremony are as vastly different as well.
Wedding music is no exception. From the wedding vows and ceremony itself to the party atmosphere of the reception, the wedding music sets the tone for the event.
Wedding Vows & Traditional Wedding Music
At most weddings we can expect to hear selections that have come to be known as traditional wedding music. Titles like Ave Maria, the Minuet from Don Giovanni, and, of course, The Bridal Chorus and The Wedding March have long been the standard music for a wedding.
Particularly religious ceremonies may include hymns like Amazing Grace and a Jewish wedding almost always includes a hora danced to a medley of tunes like Hava Nagila, and Siman Tov U Mazeltov.
The traditional wedding music holds a special place in our hearts and many think that a wedding vows ceremony is incomplete without it. The couple must decide whether or not to use traditional wedding music in the ceremony, as well as how much of it to use. If this part of the wedding tradition is important to you, then traditional wedding music is the way to go.
Wedding Vows & Modern Wedding Music
Often couples will forgo the traditional wedding music selections and instead include modern or popular music in the wedding vows ceremony. This practice is so common that some titles are becoming traditional wedding song selections themselves.
It is not unusual to hear When a Man Loves a Woman, Always and Forever, or I Will Always Love You sung, performed, or played at weddings today. Often more modern titles like these will appear in a ceremony along with the more traditional wedding music.
Wedding Vows & Avant-Garde Wedding Music
As people's attitudes change and varying forms of wedding ceremonies take place, the choice of wedding music often changes right along with them. Occasionally couples will choose music for their wedding that reflects the stark difference in their personalities and makes a unique and bold statement.

All About Celtic Wedding Rings
Looking for unique wedding rings? Read this...
A fairly new trend in wedding ring design has risen in popularity over the past few years and it’s based on something that is anything but new. Celtic wedding rings, wedding bands and engagement rings that are designed featuring classic Celtic knot work are adorning more and more matrimonial fingers than ever before, perhaps since the days of the Celts themselves.
At one time these wedding rings could only be special ordered from specific companies and were very costly. Today, however, with the rise in popularity of ancient Celtic design, many jewelers are carrying Celtic wedding rings and jewelry of all kinds on a regular basis.
The best and most beautiful Celtic wedding rings still come from companies that design the jewelry and do all the work themselves. Special intricate designs can be custom ordered and there are companies that will work your initials into a unique Celtic design for your wedding band...
Purchasing your wedding rings from one of these companies can result in your having a true one of a kind ring that is completely unique to you. If you love the Celtic look but want to spend a bit less, however, you can simply go to your closest jeweler and find a Celtic wedding ring that suits your tastes. The method you use is entirely up to you.
Celtic wedding rings take their laced designs from the patterns of the ancient Celts, European peoples in the areas of England and Ireland in the last few hundred years B.C. At one time the Celtic civilization stretched across most of Europe, but it is from Ireland that most of the Celtic traditions and designs have been gleaned.
Celtic wedding rings incorporate the most recognizable of Celtic designs, the interwoven lacework of basic shapes, entwined and overlapping in a distinct pattern.
Celtic jewelry, including Celtic wedding rings, first gained popularity with followers of neo-pagan religions like Wicca, but are now worn by people of many faiths who simply like the look of the designs. Influences of Celtic design can be seen in many cultures, traditions, and religions of today, most notably in Roman Catholicism which has long since adopted the image of the Celtic Cross as one of their own.

How To Buy A Unique Wedding Gift
Best friend's wedding coming up? Need to buy a gift?
You don't really want to get them a blender or a vacuum cleaner or a set of dishes. You could just give them money, but that seems so impersonal, albeit useful. What do you do to find a truly unique wedding gift that will stand out from the throngs of average and mundane gifts that seem to populate weddings?
A wedding gift should be something that is useful to the new couple as well as thoughtful. The first step to buying any wedding gift should be to check the store where the couple is registered, if they are at all. This will tell you what has already been purchased and what they still need.
To be truly unique, however, your gift will be something that no one else will even consider getting them. Food processors and sets of towels are out of the question.
Your unique wedding gift will be something astounding, amazing, and thoughtful. But what will it be? Here are some things that are perfectly appropriate as wedding gifts but are not often given. Any of them will be sure to speak to the couple and say that you cared enough to give something very different.
Unique Wedding Gift - Artwork
A very unique wedding gift, artwork is something for the couple's new home together but can also be very personal. This is an option that should be seriously considered before being purchased, because art is very subjective.
Something that you love could be something they hate. This is also the type of gift that you need to be prepared to spend some money on. An oil painting from the local gallery blowout for ten bucks is not going to cut it.
Artwork as a wedding gift should be an artist's original and that will cost a few hundred dollars at the very least. If the couple has a favorite classical artist, however, a lower cost option could be a framed print of one of that artist's works.
Unique Wedding Gift - Gift Certificates
A gift certificate can be a very thoughtful and unique wedding gift, as long as what the certificate is for is something thoughtful and unique. You don't want a simple department store gift certificate here.
Find a gift that can be something tailored to suit the personalities of the couple.
Are they the active, outdoors type? Try a gift certificate good for a camping trip in a national park. Maybe they are extreme sports freaks? If so a gift certificate for skydiving lessons or parasailing may be the perfect thing.
These are just a couple of examples of the special and unique wedding gifts you can come up with if you just put your mind to it. With a little bit of creativity and thoughtfulness, you can give a wedding gift that will stand out from all the others and put all the blender buyers and gravy boat givers to shame.

Wedding Dresses - Choose Your Bridesmaids Wedding Dresses Wisely!
It's time for buying your wedding dresses.
You have chosen your dream wedding dress, you and your future husband have decided on the wedding party and the bridesmaids are anxious to see what their wedding dresses are going to look like.
When choosing your bridesmaid dresses, don’t forget to keep their emotions and tastes in mind!
Remember that although this is your big day, your bridesmaids have decided to share in your joy and help you make lasting memories. And one of the biggest ways that you can include them in the merriment is to ask them to help you with the decision.
In other words, in addition to your own ideas, find out what their likes and dislikes are. After all, if they’re not happy with your choice and they feel uncomfortable, it will show in your wedding photos.
Compliment your bridesmaids’ figures, hair color and complexions when choosing their wedding dresses. You can still be the center of attention while allowing your wedding party to glow and shine behind you. Be sure to have your bridesmaids try on several styles and colors and let them choose one or two of their favorites to help you make your decision.
As important as comfort is for you, it is just as important for your girls. So, when choosing the bridesmaids dresses, look for comfort in the fit and the style. If you are a courteous bride, thinking of their needs while tending to your own, it will be appreciated by your wedding party and they will be more willing to help you.
If you’ve ever been bridesmaid yourself, then you likely understand how important it is to consider cost when choosing the bridesmaid wedding dresses. While you may be working on a wedding budget, keep in mind that your wedding party also may be hoping for affordable attire. Talk to your bridesmaids and ask them how much they are willing to spend.
Be sure while choosing bridesmaids wedding dresses you record everything in a notebook so that you won’t forget or lose the valuable information. Through the chaos of planning the rest of the wedding, it could be all too easy to forget sizes, styles, alteration decisions, and how much is owed on the wedding dresses.
